Riverdale: It can only get worse from here.

Who would have thought that a series with such a strong beginning could turn out so disappointing?

Riverdale, a town where the kids act like adults and the adults act like kids. Honestly, I’m a sucker for a good mystery and I thought this show would be ideal for me, so my question is what happened after season one?

It was as if the writers and the director didn’t think there would be more seasons to come because nothing makes sense. It’s just random ideas they pulled together from the back of a napkin they forgot about 4 years ago. So why can’t I stop watching it?

It follows a group of young high school teens who tackle the mysteries within their town, bringing justice to the antagonist’s that cause the crimes. Each season brings forth a new mystery to be solved by the gang.

However, that slightly changes as the seasons go on. For some reason, only two out of the four of them try to solve the mysteries. Whilst the others go on to die, but not die from a bear attack and fight against their evil rich dad?

Yeah, I’m just as confused as you and don’t worry you’re not alone on this one. No one hates the series more than Lili Reinhart, the actor who plays betty in the show. When asked in an interview what she likes about Betty, she says, “…I like her sweaters.”

However, nothing beats the hatred Robert Pattinson, the actor who plays Edward, has for Twilight.

Riverdale is one of those shows that put you in awe within the first season and then leaves you questioning what’s going on for the rest of the series. You’re never really going to understand how it got this bad, but here we are.

It’s funny because the actor who plays Hermione Lodge, Marisol Nichols, said within an interview that there have been times where the show's writers themselves didn’t know where the season was going. They were making it up as it went along! Am I shocked? No.

This show is one of those series that you never want to start because the first season is amazing. When revisiting it I realised they paid a lot of attention to camera angles and the cinematography, compared to the lazy camera work they do now.

If you’re looking for a show on Netflix filled with mysteries then I recommend the Korean drama, Alice In Borderlands, otherwise conserve electricity and don’t turn this show on.
