When listening to the music within this album you will forget its mature lyrics.

I never thought Ariana’s music could be any better than her ‘thank u, next' album, but here we are, and the queen has brought us yet again another beauty. Am I surprised? Not really, she is known to go above and beyond when it comes to her work, constantly one-upping herself and striving to do better than before.

Just when I begin to think she can’t do better than this, she proves me wrong with another one of her masterpieces. So, you can imagine how hard I fell for her new album ‘Positions’ as soon as I got my hands on it.

Her newest album showcases her deepest of emotions and it’s quite honestly one of her best works. It may be highly explicit and profound, but it’s masked by her angle like voice within the songs.

Ariana is well known for writing her own works that are especially related to her real-life experiences. Her music is recognised as having a heavenly touch that most artist cannot recreate themselves. So, you can imagine how grateful her fans were to hear a collaboration between her and The Weeknd within the album.

The Weeknd also shares a similar delicate voice as Ariana, hearing the two harmonise within the song ‘off the table’ is truly magical. It’s like a harp being played on a sea of perfectly fluffed clouds floating within a pink sky, if only the lyrics matched the sound then it would truly be heavenly.

Ariana’s performance within her album is incredibly celestial in sound and will definitely be a peak within her career. It’s an entirely new sound that explores completely new territory for her. Not to mention that it invites an entirely new audience to listen to her work since the sound is a new side of Grande.

Positions isn’t as moving as her past albums ‘thank u, next’ or ‘sweetener’ and it most certainly isn’t as explicit as her ‘Dangerous Women’ album. It’s an entirely new type of explicit music that is masked by her divine talent, truly an album which she planned to be godly.
