Jaclyn Hill not dragged for her NEW lipstick?

Jaclyn Hill is back at it again, selling lipsticks to her viewers. But after her last lipstick scandal a year ago, is this the best idea? Write Owl reports.

Jaclyn Hill is a YouTube influencer with over 5million subscribers. She is most known for her blog like videos on fashion and makeup. She has also decided, similar to other YouTube influencers, to create her own makeup brand. Unfortunately, the brand didn’t turn out as simple as a walk in the park as may think.

Jaclyn launched her first makeup products back in June 2019, and things didn’t go as expected. Customers found shards of glass, and hair which was presumed to be fungus spores and tiny balls within the lipstick. Some claimed to have breakouts and cuts created on their lips and mouth area.

Despite these repeated issues, Jaclyn still stood by the idea that the lipsticks were safe to use. She explained that her make up team were using “fluffy gloves” when preparing the lipsticks, which was supposed to explain the hairs found in the product. However, this was somewhat debunked by a Twitter user who took swatches from inside Jaclyn’s lipstick caps only to find fungus growing within the lipstick.

Not to mention that previously a Twitter user called Angie Burgs a PhD student studying molecular and cellular biology with a track record in biochemistry and has worked in a pharmaceutical company for quality control. Said the tiny hairs on the top of the lipstick look very similar to what fungal spores look like when coming from a creamy product.

These allegations sparked rumours that Jaclyn was selling expired lipsticks, considering she was supposed to launch the product three years before the June release.

So now we return to present-day 2021, where Jaclyn has announced that she is giving lipsticks another try and will be launching her product in March. Considering the massive scandal which she faced a year ago, it’s shocking to see Jaclyn disregarding her past mistakes and taking on her dreams regardless of the black lash she may receive.

Now she didn’t just make a come back with lipsticks. Instead, she earned the trust of her subscribers by giving her brand a refresh. She released a Valentine’s Day mystery box make up special in February, which received amazing reviews. Followed by a highlighter and blush duo collection, which did receive minor criticisms but was still well appreciated by her customers.

These launches went amazing for Jaclyn which was surprising considering her past scandals. However, she refunded all affected by the previous lipstick failure and promises her new launch this year will be different, and her fans are sticking by her through it. Many stating that they are happy Jaclyn is chasing her dreams and giving this another shot.

If there is anything Jaclyn has taught us, is that we mustn’t let our past mistakes stop us from doing what we love.
